Refund Policy for ICT Olympiad Bangladesh

Effective Date: 25.05.2025

Thank you for registering for ICT Olympiad Bangladesh. We understand that circumstances may arise that require you to cancel your registration. To address such situations fairly, we have established the following refund policy:

• 1. Refund Eligibility and Timeline:

  Refund eligibility is strictly determined based on the number of days from the participant’s initial registration date.

  • 100% Refund: Requests submitted within 15 days from the registration date.
  • 50% Refund: Requests submitted between 16 and 30 days from the registration date.
  • No Refund: Requests submitted after 30 days from the registration date are not applicable for a refund.
• 2. Payment Method:
  • Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment used during registration.
  • No cash transactions will be allowed for refunds.
• 3. Non-Refundable Cases:
  • Registration processing fees, if applicable, are non-refundable.
  • Any additional charges incurred by the participant for registration (e.g., bank fees, currency conversion charges) are non-refundable.
• 4. Non-Transferability:

  Registration fees are non-transferable. Participants may not transfer their registration or fee to another individual or a future event edition unless an official announcement is made by the ICT Olympiad Bangladesh authority regarding such provisions.

• 5. Refund Submission and Processing:
  • How to Apply: Participants must submit a formal refund request via the official support email or the designated refund portal (if available), providing their registration ID, NID, payment receipt (others if needed).
  • Processing Time: Approved refunds will be processed within 30–90 working days from the date of approval. The refund will be credited back through the original payment method or a mutually agreed-upon digital channel.
  • Transaction Charges: Any third-party payment gateway charges or mobile banking convenience fees incurred during the initial payment are non-refundable.
• 6. Event Cancellation:

  In the unlikely event that ICT Olympiad Bangladesh is canceled by the organizers without any reason, the organizing committee will not be responsible for any other costs incurred by participants. However, the organizer may change or extend the event time or type.

• 7. Amendments:

  The organizers reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions of participant registration at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes through the official website or other official communication channels.

• 8. Evaluation Criteria and Exam Governance:

  The qualifying score for the selection round will be published on your dashboard. If your score exceeds the mentioned qualifying mark, you will be selected. For other rounds, the selection criteria will be determined entirely based on the policies set by the authority.

  In the semi-final round, the top 20 participants from each class will be selected for the final round based on two factors:
  * The highest score obtained
  * The shortest time taken to complete the exam

  NOTE: The authority reserves the right to change any exam schedule, format, evaluation criteria, examination system, round type, examination process, or any related activities.
